Our hosting and delivery provider may process request information to deliver pages, protect its network, identify abuse, and diagnose technical problems. Technical request data is separate from the answers you select in the free checklist.
The website does not ask you to provide a name, email address, payment details, or business-account credentials to read guides, compare plans, or download a checklist.
Checklist Answers and Downloads
The free SEO checklist runs in your browser. Your selections are used in the current page to generate suggested tasks. The website does not send those selections to a Local Mantle server, an analytics service, or an AI provider.
Checklist selections are not saved by the website in cookies or persistent browser storage. Your browser may retain or restore page state using its own features. Closing or reloading the page can clear the checklist state.
When you save a checklist or plan details, your browser creates a text file on your device. We do not receive a copy of that file. Its storage, deletion, sharing, and any device or cloud backup are controlled by you and the services you use.
The checklist does not scan a website or connect to Google, Bing, a directory, or an AI account.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website code does not set advertising cookies, add marketing pixels, run session-replay tools, or use analytics scripts to track individual visitors. It also does not use local storage or session storage to retain checklist answers or plan selections.
Infrastructure providers may use security mechanisms when necessary to protect a website or respond to suspicious requests. Their operation depends on the hosting and security configuration. Our guides link to external resources. Following an external link causes your browser to contact that website. The destination may receive your IP address and other request information, including referral information permitted by your browser. How Information Is Used

We retain information under our control only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant operational, security, or legal purpose. Correspondence may be retained while an inquiry remains open and afterward where needed to document its resolution or meet a legal obligation. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it no longer identifiable, subject to legal retention requirements.
No website, device, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a device and network you trust, keep your browser current, and take care when sharing downloaded files.

You can use the website without creating an account or identifying your business. You can choose not to use the checklist, clear browser-managed data, and delete downloaded files yourself.

A request can only cover information that is actually held and can reasonably be associated with you. We cannot retrieve checklist answers or files that were never sent to us, or erase a downloaded file from your device remotely.

Email hello@localmantle.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Describe the information or activity your request concerns and how we can respond. Do not include passwords or unnecessary identification documents. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information.
You can ask about our practices, request access or correction, raise a complaint, or withdraw consent where applicable. We will explain any legal or practical limits on a request, including circumstances in which we do not hold the information. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, subject to any permitted extension.
If your concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia. Its guidance explains how to submit a complaint and when to first raise a concern with the organization. Where federal privacy law applies, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada may be the appropriate authority.
Children’s Privacy
Local Mantle is intended for people managing or researching a business. The website is not directed at children and does not include a registration flow designed to collect information from them. Children should not send personal information through a business inquiry.
